The Riviera has been Buick's personal luxury car since 1963 and has consistently been a style leader for Buick. The sixth generation Riviera(79-85) is still one of the best examples of American personal luxury ever built. The Riviera shared it's chassis with the Oldsmobile Toronado and Cadillac's Eldorado, while managing to look statelier then either of them. In fact, the first year of production for this body(1979) won Riviera the Motor Trend car of the Year Award. 1985 would be the last year of this beautiful body style.

This particular example has been in collector hands for the past 11 years and has always been kept covered in a climate controlled garage.  It benefits from an outstanding color scheme of Light Briar with Dark Briar interior and landau vinyl top, and is loaded with options such as concert sound system, passenger 6-way power seat, passenger recliner, lighted vanity mirror, rear reading lamps, electric trunk release and rear defogger. This Riviera is a sight to behold and only has 36k miles.

I have owned 7 or 8 of these in this body style(84-85) over the years, and I believe this one to be one of the most perfect and solid of any I have ever collected. The flow of the body lines are amazing, and is one of the best looking coupes ever made. This Riviera has it's original paint all the way around with the exception of the front and rear filler panels around the bumpers which were professionally replaced and repainted with a perfect factory color match. I am not aware of anything that doesn't work as expected including the factory electric antenna. The AC has been serviced and converted to 134R and is ice cold. Some of the mechanical updates include a new radiator, belts, hoses, thermostat, valave cover gaskets, transmission pan gasket and the transmission lock-up solenoid replaced. This beautiful Buick runs very smooth and quiet, and tracks straight down the road.

This Riviera has a perfect factory stance.

This Riviera shows even better in person. Lazor straight body.

Factory carpeted floormats are present and in excellent shape as well as the GM rubber trunk mat.

There is ZERO sun fade on this interior. No dash cracks.

Amazingly, there is no steering wheel cracks.

6-speaker Concert Sound

LOTS of service records and a few extra parts.

307 Olds runs smooth and quiet. Ice cold air.

Rust free and very clean underside.

TERMS AND CONDITION OF THIS AUCTION

  • This Buick is being sold with NO RESERVE, so you wont have to deal with the games of wondering what the reserve is or be taunted by a "buy-it-now" price. There is no price set here, so don't ask. This beautiful Riviera will bring what it brings, and the bidders will be able to enjoy a game free auction.  You are entering an enforceable contract when you bid and win an auction. There is a $1,000 deposit due within 48 hours of the close of auction. Balance is to be paid and the Buick picked up within 7 days of auction end. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I will work with the winning bidder on pickup time as long as it is agreed upon by both parties. This doesn't change the payment terms for this auction. If a bidder has excessive negative feedback I will delete their bids and block bidder from this auction.

  • As with just about any used vehicle on ebay, this Riviera is being sold as is, with no warranties expressed or implied. This Buick runs and looks great and I have described it to the best of my abilities.  Plates on the car are not included and are for display reasons. The car has a few paint chips that have been touched up. The verbiage in this auction reflects my honest opinion of the car but should not be construed as a guarantee and nothing takes the place of a personal inspection before bidding. QUESTIONS AND INSPECTIONS MUST TAKE PLACE BEFORE THE END OF AUCTION! I welcome any bidders that wants to look at this Buick in person or have a mechanic come to the location of the car to inspect/drive BEFORE AUCTION END.
